Yvonne Pierret and Abby
Abby was a stray puppy running scared through an industrial section
of San Fernando when she wandered into Yvonne Pierret’s workplace.
Instantly smitten with the helpless Shepard mix, Yvonne took her
home that night. When Abby was a year old, she became a Pet Assisted
Therapy dog. Currently making weekly visits to Magnolia Gardens Convalescent
Hospital, Abby will cry until she and Yvonne leave for the hospital.
Recently one of Abby’s favorite patients passed away. Pat was
blind and loved to just sit and feel Abby’s soft fur. Although
still grieving for her friend, Abby knows she has a talent for bringing
joy to others. At Magnolia Gardens, it can be said that Abby enjoys
the visits as much as the patients! |
