REFERRAL SERVICE
Our

COMMITMENT
TO COOPERATIVE ACTION
Always
mindful that “it is not about us, but about protecting
and caring for animals,” Actors and Others remains committed
to cooperative action to end the tragedy of pet overpopulation
and homelessness.
Joining
forces with Los Angeles County, Actors and Others was primarily
responsible for the elimination of the decompression chamber
and introduction of humane euthanasia in California. As a founding
and leading member of the Coalition to End Pet Overpopulation
(CEPO), comprised of long-established humane organizations
here in Los Angeles, Actors and Others was instrumental in
the passage of revised city ordinances encouraging spay/neuter.
We continue to work closely with city, county and state agencies
as well as our CEPO associates to pass and enforce laws aimed
at protecting our animal companions. |
